Today Jacque and I walked around Asuncion. There are no stop signs in this city, and the buildings have grand European facades. The level of maintenance varys drastically from building to building.
A view of the city from the riverfront.
A building decorated with geodes and quartz crystals! (?)
Jac admires building.
We went to a museum about the 30 year Paraguayan dictatorship of Alfredo Stroessner, who viciously ran the country until ´89. Part of the museum, which used to house a prison and torture location, had a room about the underground printing presses that people used to organize against the dictatorship. La prensa combatitiva!
A motorcycle cart.
He watches over the street.
